How To Turn On Find My iPhone

“Find My iPhone” is an ultimate essential service provided by Apple Inc. for all the iCloud users. This feature is also explicitly known for other devices as Find My iPad, Find My iPod touch, or Find My Mac.

Let’s have a look at how to turn on this amazing feature on your iPhone.

Step 1: Unlock your iPhone.

Step 2: Open Settings on your phone. It is an icon of grey colour and will be on one of your home screens. If it’s not on the home screen, search for the “Utilities” folder and there you can find the settings option.

Step 3: Scroll down to “iCloud” option on the screen. You can find it on the fourth set of options.

Step 4: Open iCloud. Sign in to your Apple account. If you’ve already signed in to your Apple account, then skip this step. If you don’t have an account, then click on the button showing “Create Free Apple ID” and make your new Apple ID.

Step 5: After that, in iCloud, scroll down to “Find my iPhone”. Tap on the button to open it.

Step 6: After opening it, you’ll see a slide button allowing you to turn on or off the option. In our case, you have to slide it to turn on the option. Now your phone’s location service will be activated so that you can track and recover data from anywhere. If you’re not permitted to turn on the location service, a pop-up will come asking you to turn on the location service. Tap on the setting option provided on the notification. It will take you directly to the location service option. Now turn on the location service to complete the procedure.

When you set up this feature on iPhone, your paired Apple Watch and AirPods are set up automatically too. Now you can track and find if you lose these gadgets.
