Interview with Danny Hogan, Group COO, North Dakota Developments

North Dakota Developments has recently experienced the benefits of using a drone when it comes to international property development. Danny Hogan, Group COO, was in charge of the drone and speaks here about the experience.

1) Firstly, did you enjoy using the drone?

The drone is huge amounts of fun. It felt really good to able to see the sites from a different perspective, once I got the hang of it of course.

2) Drones are hugely sought after as they are seen as a fun and futuristic tool. Did it reach your expectations?

It definitely reached my expectations both on a personal level, as I’ve always wanted to try one out, and on a business level because the usability for this type of tool are endless. I’ve even taught my 9 year old son to use it and he is as blown away with it as me.

3) What were the main reasons you decided to use a drone?

It enables us to provide a complete picture to our investors and solidifies everything we do here at North Dakota Developments. It’s paramount to keep our investors updated where possible and the drone is able to provide this opportunity.

4) Are there any limitations with the drone for what NDD uses it for?

Not at all, the drone is exactly what we needed. Once I become a more competent flyer, I’m sure I’ll start to discover more and more and feel the full benefit of owning such a tool.

5) What do you hope to use the footage for?

Primarily, it will be used for investor and affiliate updates, to be loaded onto our website and social media platforms, however it will also come in use for initial land surveys.

6) Would you recommend other individuals to use it?

This is certainly something other companies and individuals should use. When in the property development industry, a tool like this drone is invaluable. It’s give an edge that a standard photograph just can’t match. I’m already in the process of training up some more of my staff in North Dakota so they too can use it in my absence.
