CAMRADATA, a leading provider of data and analysis for institutional investors has just released its latest monthly snapshot of the top investment searches carried out in CAMRADATA Live, to keep investors ahead of the latest investment trends.

In the 12 months to 31st March 2018, just over 21,000 searches were carried out in CAMRADATA Live. 50 products were also added to CAMRADATA Live which focused on several different strategies, including China Equity, Japanese Equity, European Fixed Income, and US Corporate.

In March 2018, the top three most searched asset classes were Global Diversified Growth, Global Equity and US Equity. There was continued interest in Emerging Markets Equity and European Inc. UK Equity, which retained their positions of 4th and 5th place respectively since February 2018.

There was growing interest in Global Tactical Asset Allocation, which moved up to 7th place, from 10th in the previous month; with Japanese Equities continuing to remain in the top ten of asset classes being searched on.

There were new entrants in the top searched asset managers by AuM, these included Ardevora Asset Management, Fair Oaks Capital, CQS (UK) LLP, LGT Vestra LLP, Old Mutual Global Investors (UK) Limited and MFS Investment Management.

Sean Thompson, Managing Director, CAMRADATA said, “Our latest snapshot of investment searches puts Diversified Growth Funds back in top position after coming second in February. Our latest quarterly investment report showed Diversified Growth Funds have seen a continual growth of the total assets for the past 36 months.

“Global Equities and US Equities were in 2nd and 3rd places. This is in line with our quarterly report which showed that 2017 ended positively for the equity markets, with equity markets performing well outside Europe.

“In Europe, while stocks lagged other markets in Q4, economic data remains strong and signs of improving economic growth boosted cyclical stocks. Interest in European Inc. UK Equity continues with this asset class remaining in 5th place in the search table.

“Our monthly snapshots are essential for keeping clients up-to-date on the latest investment trends, as well as providing them with key insights and data ahead of our more detailed quarterly investment reports.”
