    April 24 (Reuters) - British technology and services provider Computacenter  on Friday said it expects to deliver full-year results comfortably ahead of market expectations after a strong quarter driven by booming demand from data centres and AI projects in North America and the UK.

    European chip and electrical equipment makers have enjoyed a rally in recent weeks as investors pile onto the firms seen as beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure build-out and lifts demand for semiconductors and related infrastructure.

    The company, which helps large organisations source, build and run IT infrastructure, from laptops to data centres, said its committed product order backlog remained strong, as some customers ordered hardware further in advance to secure supply given current component shortages.
