MOSCOW, Jan 1 (Reuters) - Vladimir Saldo, the Russian-installed governor of Ukraine's southern Kherson region, said on Thursday that at least 24 people were killed and more than 50 injured in what he said was a Ukrainian drone strike on a hotel and cafe where New Year celebrations were being held.
Saldo said in a post on Telegram that the strike took place in Khorly, a coastal village close to the Russian-controlled Crimean peninsula.
Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
