Each year, Broker Expo New York is hosted in Midtown Manhattan with a goal of being “the first conference organized for the small business finance industry, by the small business finance industry.”
It’s an event meant to nurture small business financiers while helping them thrive in the industry, and it’s all made possible through the organized funding of sponsors like Everest Business Funding, the Revenue Based Finance Coalition, and others.
But what knowledge do those in attendance walk away with? What can they hope to gain from the industry conferences they visit, and who do they network with? Having just completed the most recent Broker Expo New York on September 17, 2025, in Manhattan, now is a better time than ever to answer those questions.
Follow along as we detail Broker Expo New York, the role this event plays in providing crucial information for those in the small business industry, and Everest Business Funding’s role as both sponsor and speaker at the event.
Why the Broker Expo?
As previously mentioned, Broker Expo New York is an annual networking event held with the aim of propping up those in the small business finance industry. Held at Center 415 in Midtown Manhattan, Broker Expo Funders & Brokers from both New York and the greater United States for a day of networking and learning from some of the foremost business funding thought leaders and policymakers in the country.
Aside from offering breakfast, lunch, and an end-of-day happy hour for networking, Broker Expo also equips its attendees with various tools and strategies needed in today’s ever-changing business funding landscape. It’s essentially a one-stop shop, where those hoping to thrive in the industry can learn what steps to take next.
What Business Funding Leaders Walk Away With
This year’s Broker Expo had an absolutely jam-packed agenda. There were three high-profile sessions included in the event, including “Pitch Perfect: High-Integrity Sales Strategies that Convert in a Tight Market,” “Behind the Curtain: What Funders Look for in a Top-Tier Broker,” and “The Evolving Political Landscape: Concerning Regulatory Trends & Compliance for Funders and Brokers.”
These conferences were moderated and led by experts in the industry, meaning guests gained top knowledge on excelling in fragile markets, earning the trust of business owners, and understanding usury risks and requirements that could significantly impact their ability to fund deals.
Everest Business Funding: Sponsor and Speaker
As is true each year, Broker Expo New York featured an all-star lineup of both sponsors and speakers in the small business community. One of the event’s Platinum Sponsors was Everest Business Funding, a longstanding organization that works to provide alternative financing and revenue-based funding to those in the small business community.
Everest Business Funding CEO Scott Crockett also appeared as a guest speaker at the event, highlighting his more than 20 years of experience in the financing industry and touching on what he’s learned over the years.
Other speakers at the event included the likes of Mary Donohue, the Executive Director at Revenue Finance Coalition; Louis Calderone, the President and Co-Founder at VOX Funding; and Kate Fisher, Partner at Hudson Cook. Additional sponsors included high-profile companies such as the Revenue Based Finance Coalition, Merit Business Funding, UFS Funding, Moneythumb, Heron Data, and more.
