SutherlandGold Group Acquires Digital Marketing Firm Astro Media

Today, SutherlandGold Group, a leading full-service creative communications agency, announced it has acquired digital marketing innovator Astro Media.

Lesley Gold, co-founder and CEO of SutherlandGold, formerly of CNN, the U.S. Department of Labor and the DNC, also announced that Rachelle Spero, founder and chief digital strategist of Astro Media, will join SutherlandGold as Chief Innovation Officer and Executive Vice President. Spero will be based in the companys New York office.

Spero has a proven track record of creating and managing digital content and social media for multiple agencies. She was previously a Partner at Brunswick Group, where she ran the firms Global Digital Practice. Prior to Brunswick, Spero was an Executive Vice President at Burson, Cohn & Wolfe (a WPP company) where she managed the firms Global Digital Practice. Throughout her career, Spero has successfully advised executives at Fortune 100 companies on global social media communication and digital marketing strategies. Speros expertise in developing innovative approaches to engaging executives, employees, and customers has led to some of the most successful companies establishing and engaging new audiences.
