SPIRE PAYMENTS ® LAUNCH FIVE NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART PAYMENT DEVICES AT CARTES 2014

payment solutions

This week at Cartes 2014 Spire Payments will be launching no-less than five new state-of-the-art payment solutions. Following its recent announcement of the launch of two mPOS devices at this prestigious global event it has revealed a further three devices will be added to the acclaimed SP product portfolio.

The SPu90 offers an unattended solution meeting all the latest security and contactless requirements. The SPc5 is an aggressively priced countertop solution specifically aimed at emerging card payment markets. Finally, the SPg7 combines card acceptance with the flexibility of full GPRS mobility in a sleek modern design.

Spire Payments LogoKazem Aminaee, CEO of Spire Payments, stated, “At Cartes 2013 we proudly announced our new range of payment solutions: the SP family comprised of five products offering countertop, portable, mobile and retail chip and PIN solutions. At Cartes 2014 we are yet again launching five new products, doubling the size of the SP range. The long awaited SPu90 will offer customers a future-proofed unattended solution while the SPc5 will meet the needs of emerging markets, which in turn, will facilitate our rapid geographical expansion. Finally the SPg7, a superbly styled mobile payment solution, will offer an entry level alternative to our highly successful mobile offering: the SPw70.”

The SPu90 provides customers with an extremely secure, flexible, robust and future-proof unattended solution meeting the very latest security standards (EMV, PCI PTS SRED 4.x), while also providing the flexibility of optional contactless support (PayPass, payWave and Expresspay).  Offering legacy estate customers a seamless upgrade path the SPu90 also has the added benefit of utilising the powerful inSPiretm development environment to assist in the rapid development of local applications.

The SPc5 is a countertop solution ideally suited to the demanding needs of emerging markets. Dial up and Ethernet connectivity, colour display, and high speed printer, combined with a Linux application toolkit equates to a well-balanced set of features that is spot-on for the emerging market environment.

The SPg7, even though sharing a similar form-factor to the SPc5 is aimed at all markets. The little brother to the SPw70, the SPg7 provides GPRS quad band connectivity, colour screen, high speed printer, and as with the SPc5, a Linux application toolkit all of which make it an extremely versatile mobile payment platform.

Both the SPc5 and SPg7 are EMV and PCI PTS SRED approved, while also offering the option of contactless support (PayPass and payWave).

Kazem Aminaee added, “This significant announcement demonstrates Spire Payments resolve to innovate and to respond to customer expectations by regularly delivering new product offerings. This leaves no question that we are committed to offer our customers a comprehensive, world class range of payment solutions.”
