PROTIVITI UK APPOINTS SUSAN BROWNLIE AS DIRECTOR IN ITS FINANCIAL SERVICES REGULATORY PRACTICE
Protiviti UK, the business consulting and internal audit firm, has appointed Susan Brownlie as a Director within its Financial Services Industry Regulatory Practice. Based in London, Susan will be responsible for the development and continued growth of the firm’s significant financial services regulatory practice. She will report to Bernadine Reese, Head of Risk and Compliance.
Susan brings considerable experience from both an advisory and industry participant perspective. Over the past 10 years she has held a variety of senior compliance roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland and HSBC: most recently she was Head of Regulatory Projects at HSBC Bank plc with responsibility for managing a range of projects across the UK and Europe. At Royal Bank of Scotland she spent several years as Head of Group Regulatory Advice and Liaison.
Previously, she was a Partner (formerly Director) in KPMG’s Regulatory Services Practice having spent 12 years with the firm.
Susan has particular expertise in a number of high-profile regulatory issues including conduct risk, the Remuneration Code, compliance monitoring, the application of operational risk processes to compliance departments and the management of regulatory relationships. She has for many years had a special interest in the FCA’s, and former regulators’, client asset (CASS) rules.
