Decorated athlete Lindsey Vonn pioneered downhill skiing as a solo athlete. Now shes teaming up with a network of successful small business experts and Chase Ink Business Credit Cards as she explores whats next as an entrepreneur.
The collaboration kicked off today in New York as small business owners gathered for the panel, Beyond the Slopes with Lindsey Vonn: A Small Business Event. A replay of the dynamic discussion is available on Lindseys Facebook page. Panelists included Rebecca Minkoff, fashion designer and co-founder of Rebecca Minkoff; Matt Mayberry, internationally acclaimed keynote speaker and author; and Melissa Butler, founder and CEO of The Lip Bar and a loan recipient of Detroits Entrepreneurs of Color Fund, which was established by the Detroit Development Fund, JPMorgan Chase and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
Just a few wins away from beating the all-time wins record in her sport, Vonn reflected on how a lifetime of lessons from the slopes naturally translates to managing a growing business in the resource guide Beyond the Slopes.
Downhill skiing requires me to maximize the momentum of the slopes to propel me through the flats. Im using that same fearless embrace to explore whats next for my career, said Vonn. But just like my skiing career, its critical that I surround myself with successful small business mentors and coaches. Chase Ink continues to be key in helping me form whats next for my future, facilitating these incredible relationships.
Lindsey is the face of downhill skiing and one of the most decorated athletes in her sport. This success goes beyond innate talent “ she has pushed the boundaries and overcome challenges at every turn. Chase Ink is excited and proud to stand beside her and small business owners everywhere as they push the limit to seize new opportunities. We know that by applying the same passion she uses in her skiing career, Lindsey will accomplish great things in her future business endeavors, said Jeff Hofmann, general manager of Chase Ink business cards.
