PolySwarm, the first decentralized threat intelligence marketplace, announced today that Patricia A. Hatter will join the PolySwarm Advisers Council. Hatter will help guide and scale the companys security strategy and industry relations.
Hatter is a multiple award-winning technology executive with 30 years experience leading some of the worlds most transformative technology companies including McAfee, Cisco and AT&T. She is an expert adviser on go-to-market strategy and technology trends in cybersecurity and digital transformation. As an advisor to PolySwarm, Hatter will apply her skills and expertise to support the company scaling a crowdsourced network of anti-malware researchers, developers and security teams competing with their micro-engines to protect users and earn passive income.
Traditional cybersecurity vendors only leverage their own relatively small group of threat research experts; PolySwarm is upending the market by leveraging the knowledge of the larger community of cybersecurity experts, said Patricia Hatter. Given the challenges that this industry faces, the ecosystem that PolySwarm has created enables a much broader and richer level of contribution from all cyber experts to tackle new threats.
Hatter joins a number of internationally renowned infosec expert PolySwarm Advisers including former McAfee CIO Mark Tonnesen, author of The IDA Pro Book Chris Eagle, Trail Of Bits Co-Founder and CEO Dan Guido, Basis Technology Founder and CEO Carl Hoffman, and Dartmouth College Professor Dr. Sergey Bratus.
We are fortunate to have Patricias insight to help guide our development, said PolySwarm CEO Steve Bassi. Her experience will provide valuable perspective as we continue to scale up to help defend against the growing security threats the industry faces.
In 2016, Hatter was named a Women of Influence and a Power Executive by Silicon Valley Business Journal. She was also recognized by National Diversity Council as Most Powerful and Influential Woman. Hatter is a member of the U.S. Department of Commerce Information Security and Privacy Advisory Board (IPSAB), and a Board member of the Silicon Valley Education Foundation. She received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University.
PolySwarm is the first decentralized marketplace allowing security experts to build anti-malware engines that compete to protect consumers. PolySwarm incentivizes a global community of information security experts to disrupt the $8.5 billion cyber threat intelligence industry, providing enterprises and consumers with unprecedented speed and accuracy in threat detection. The PolySwarm market runs on Nectar (NCT), an ERC20-compatible utility token. For more information, please visit PolySwarm.io.
