OBIO Opens Canadian Health Investment Showcase in New York City, Connecting Canada’s High Potential Health Science Companies with Premier US Investors

The Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization (OBIO) is proud to announce the opening of the Canadian Health Investment Showcase in New York, NY, on November 5 and 6, 2018.

The Canadian Health Investment Showcase will feature 18 of Canadas highest potential companies meeting with more than 35 US investors and VCs in New York City to drive investment in Canadas health science industry.

OBIO is excited by the opportunities for investments and partnerships that the Canadian Health Investment Showcase will create, said Gail Garland, President and CEO of OBIO. The overwhelming desire from both US investors and Canadian companies to be part of the Showcase ensures that this event will create unparalleled prospects for both North Americas premier private equity investors and Canadas most promising health science companies.

Over two days at the Consulate General of Canada in New York, the Canadian Health Investment Showcase features hundreds of one-on-one meetings between companies and US investors, as well as panel discussions on cross-border investing in the health science industry and a keynote on trends in health investing this year.

Creating a dynamic environment for health science companies to meet with targeted US health investors is an opportunity not just for individual companies but the entire Canadian health science industry, said Dr. Jeremy Bridge-Cook, CEO of Rna Diagnostics. I am not only pleased to join the delegation of companies at the Canadian Health Investment Showcase but also to congratulate OBIO on delivering an unprecedented event focused on the needs of Canadian companies.
