The USB Type-C cable used with the light headset features Spectra7s latest AR/VR/MR optimized, high-performance, lowest power analog ICs, including:
- VR8300 – DisplayPort HBR3 Embedded Cable Processor – Delivers DisplayPort bandwidth of up to 32.4Gbps at 5K resolution for 15 million pixel cinema-grade video.
- VR8050 – USB 3.2 Gen 1 Embedded Cable Processor – Delivers up to 5Gbps of sensor/camera data for positional tracking, and gesture recognition.
We chose Spectra7s solution because they are the leader in active copper cabling technology. The VR8050 and VR8300s low power consumption are unmatched, making them ideal for mobile applications such as that offered by our latest light headset, said Chi Xu, CEO of Beijing-based nreal.
