Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has strengthened its Technology, Media and Telecommunications team in the capital with the appointment of Natalie O’Byrne as mid markets relationship director.
With 6 years’ experience in corporate banking, she joins the nine strong TMT team having previously worked in a similar role for Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking looking after clients in the oil and gas sector.
She will now be responsible for further growing Lloyds Bank’s portfolio of technology, media and telecommunications businesses in London with a turnover of between £100 million and £750 million.
Commenting on her appointment, Simon Bumfrey, area director for the bank’s Manufacturing, Industrials & TMT team in London said: “The City’s TMT sector is emerging as one the world’s leading digital hubs, and 2016 is shaping up to be another exciting year for these industries.
“But keeping up with new trends – whether it’s the development of artificial intelligence or simply paving the way for organic growth – requires liquidity and sure financial footing.
“With Natalie now on board, our growing team is better placed than ever to provide the tailored funding solutions TMT businesses need, enabling them to fulfil their aspirations and remain at the cutting edge of their field.”
Natalie added: “At Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, we offer industry experts and a relationship focussed approach. We invest time to understand our clients’ businesses and to find the right financial solutions to meet their requirements.
“This is a sector which, particularly in London, is becoming one of the UK’s economic powerhouses. It’s changed the face of the East End, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. Being able to help these dynamic businesses grasp new opportunities, and grow, is very rewarding.”
