LIVELEAN NUTRITION BECOMES THE FIRST FOOD COMPANY IN THE UK TO PARTNER WITH LEADING PAYMENTS PROVIDER KLARNA

On Tuesday, one of Europe’s leading payment providers, Klarna, announced a partnership with LiveLean Nutrition, an online provider of premium lean meats, meals and other healthy foods. LiveLean customers will now be able to benefit from Klarna’s Pay After Delivery (PAD), an alternative and friction less payment method well suited for home delivery food boxes.

LiveLean will use Klarna’s mobile-optimised online checkout to manage all their payment transactions, including card, with the added benefit being able to offer Pay After Delivery to their 50,000 customers. The PAD service gives shoppers 14 days interest free to pay for their order, while only collecting minimal personal information upfront, offering a seamless and quick shopping experience.

Commenting on the partnership, Luke Griffiths, General Manager of Klarna UK, said: “We are very happy to offer LiveLean and its customers Klarna’s smooth checkout and approach to payments. Fresh food is important for a healthy lifestyle, and we’re delighted to partner with a company that values this way of life.”

Paul Horrocks, Managing Director of LiveLean, said: “We’re very proud to be the first food company to offer this payment method to UK shoppers. Klarna helps us to follow through on our three key principles – quality, value and customer care, and we’re excited to offer our customers a smooth and straightforward way to pay.”

LiveLean will be the newest merchant to join Klarna’s portfolio, following partnerships with luxury bag designer Knomo, retail giant Arcadia, and leading footwear brand Schuh.
