    2. If in case you are willing to unzip just few files then tap on the file in the pane of zip file and then put the checkmark on the box, in order to unzip desired files or you can unzip the entire folder by clicking on the checkbox adjacent to it
    3. Click on the present at the Unzip button present in Actions pane
    4. Get destination folder selected and then get the files uncompressed. After that tap on the button of Unzip

Unzipping the files in Windows 10

Zip files are natively supported by the Windows 10 and you just have to click twice on the folder that is zipped in order to have a look on the content it contains and get the files open up. But, compressed files need to be extracted before being used. It is convenient to extract all the files that are compressed, before you start using them.

If the files are not unzipped, then saving and editing of the files will not be possible in the same document.

Files from the zipped folder can be extracted by two ways:

    1. By using Extract All wizard

In order to get the files extracted from zipped folder, follow the steps given below:

    • Right click on the zipped folder
    • Then, go to context menu and then choose Extract All
    • By default, the files will get extracted in the location where the zipped folder was saved. You can also tap on the button of Browse if you want to choose the alternative location
    • Check mark the option which says, ‘Show extracted files when complete’
    • Then click on Extract
    1. By using File Explorer

In order to get the individual files extracted from the zipped folder, follow the steps given below:

    • Click twice on the zipped folder
    • Then choose the files or file which you are willing to extract
    • Then right click on the files selected by you and click on Cut
    • After that navigate the location, where you wanted to unzip these files
    • Then, right click and then select Paste

Alternatively, you can also keep the items selected which you want and then on the tab of Extract, choose location where you wanted the files to be extracted, this could be done within the compressed folder.
