Twitter is one of the leading social networking sites where people communicate with each other in tweets which is nothing but messages. Tweets are short messages of 280 or fewer characters and can be seen by people who are following you. The tweets are interesting or useful that you want your audience to know. Twitter became a popular social networking site despite getting into the race a little late because it is scan-friendly. That means interesting tweets can be read at a glance. Another popular feature of Twitter is the restriction of size in a tweet; it makes the messages more focused and easy to understand but challenging to write.

    Why Should You Get Verified?
The verification logo is considered as a media currency of the highest order and offered by Twitter and Instagram. The verification logo on Twitter appears as an icon of blue color and is next to the account name. That shows to the public that the account is verified, unique, interesting and authentic. The reason Twitter introduced verification was to have accounts that are of high-quality and for engaging people in various fields like the music, fashion, sports, politics, media, etc. connect with a wider audience. It also ensures that abuses are reduced on this platform and only meaningful conversations are posted. If you are promoting a brand, a product or a service, customers trust a verified Twitter account that has a checkmark.

How to get your account verified?

Once all the details are filled and verified, you have to enter the username of the account that has to be verified, and if it is a business account, there is a checkbox which needs to be ticked to indicate it.
Step 2: If you have missed filling some information, there will be a prompt. If your profile has something amiss, then ‘Account Not Eligible For Review’ will be displayed, fill in the missing details and submit it for verification.
    Step 3: Enter Website
To get verified, you can enter about five websites that enables to identify you and link you to the Twitter account. You can also show that you are an influence to the public by sharing links of websites of your news appearances.
Step 4: Show Why You should be verified
You get 500 characters to make Twitter verify your account. Write about your achievements and how you have been in the news, etc.
    Step 5: Submit
After checking that all the information you have entered is correct, you can submit the form. If the account is verified, you will receive an email from @verified Twitter account.
