IP Address stands for Internet Protocol. When you connect to a network or the internet, your system gets assigned to a specific unique address. If the connection uses Internet Protocol, the address is called IP Address. It is a group of 4 sets of numbers with up to 3 digits in each group.

If you are looking for someone’s IP Address, then you may have some security reasons. You might want to establish a secure connection for your business by allowing a specific person. You might want to block an IP Address or a device from connecting to your system. Or you might want to locate the physical location of the user. There are a few methods in which way can find the user’s IP Address. Let’s explore those methods.

    Using the Command Prompt:

When you are trying to find the IP Address of a website, the easiest way to do it is to use the Command Prompt. If you are using Windows, then click WIN + R to open the RUN feature of Windows. On the given box type cmd and press ENTER. Or you can search on the windows search bar for Command Prompt & Open it.

On the black DOS screen, you can use ping to identify and find the IP address of the website. Type “ping host address” on the dark DOS screen where host address is the site of which IP Address you’re looking for. For example, if you’re looking for the IP Address of www.instagram.com, then type the website address in place of host address and press enter. After the successful execution of the code, your computer will try to find the server of the speech and will show the result on the screen.

From The Header Of An Incoming Email:

When you are looking for someone’s IP Address, an email from them can be very useful. Using an embedded program on the email system, you can find their IP Address. This feature varies as per the email service you’re using. In this method, the header is the most important thing to look for. On the setting of your email program try searching for “Internet Headers” or simply “Headers.” To use this feature turn on the option. It’ll open up a new range of data section on your email system.

But this feature can’t be trusted entirely. It can show a fake address. To ensure the validity you’ve to perform an IP check using the command prompt.

    Online IP Lookup Tool:

You can also find the desired IP Address by using any of the ONline IP Lookup Tools. It is the simplest and reliable way. You can search for any of the IP Lookup Tool on the Internet and use it for your purpose. These companies have developed their various ways to check the IP Address. Some of them legitimate while some of them are not. Some of the websites will also help you to locate the user on the geographical map as well. Make sure to double-check the result for accuracy.
