Hosho Introduces HoshoCon Blockchain Security Conference

Industry experts will come together to share best security practices for decentralized platforms

Las Vegas, Nevada – Hosho Group, a global leader in blockchain security, announces its inaugural blockchain security event, HoshoCon, to be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, October 9 through 11, 2018.

The first-of-its-kind conference will focus on a range of curated topics related to blockchain security as well as key topics related to security, including regulation and subsequent legal implications as well as institutional and custodial issues. HoshoCon will bring together prominent cybersecurity leaders for three days of discussions and exhibitions on the emerging technologies aimed at preventing hacking and damaging breaches in the blockchain community.

Hosho continues to set the standard for cybersecurity within the blockchain industry, and HoshoCon aims to expand that effort by bringing together the industry’s leading security professionals, technologists, lawyers, and developers who are creating the next generation of technology and applications in blockchain security. In addition to keynote speakers and presentations by industry-leading experts, HoshoCon will have a 25,000 sq. ft. exhibition space, and a dedicated developer-focused track including panels and workshops. The conference will also have a hackathon facilitated by multiple winners and organizers of elite DEF CON competitions, as well as a mentorship program aimed at connecting mentors and attendees for one-on-one sessions, all followed by nightly entertainment.

“We are excited to announce our first blockchain security event and the opportunity to collaborate with other cybersecurity leaders to educate companies about the importance of security in the blockchain industry and its wide-ranging implications outside of just the technology,” explained Yo Sub Kwon, CEO and Founder of Hosho. “With decentralized technologies, the repercussions of a hack are much greater than in traditional technology, not to mention the regulatory or legal implications that are emerging every day. HoshoCon will raise awareness and encourage executives to take the necessary security measures to protect their products and services from hacks and better manage their risks as the technology continues to flourish.”

With security often considered an afterthought in the blockchain industry, Hosho is solely focused on smart contract auditing and penetration testing to help businesses successfully launch products. Through its suite of security-related services, Hosho protects blockchain companies, users, and investors by elevating the industry’s security standards. HoshoCon will further educate blockchain companies about the technology and strategy necessary for widespread adoption of security practices.

HoshoCon will feature some of the leading executives and entrepreneurs creating the latest technology and procedures necessary to improve security in the blockchain industry. Confirmed speakers include:
