HMR Weight Management Partners with Providence St. Joseph Health

With obesity rates for American adults now at an all-time high of nearly 40%, Providence St. Joseph Health, one of the nations top healthcare systems, is including HMR as part of a new suite of weight-loss solutions. HMR will offer its diet and intensive lifestyle change programs to all patients across the system, as well as to the 119,000 caregivers of Providence St. Joseph Health.


According to HMR President Len Tacconi, For the past 35 years, HMR has specialized in helping the high BMI population. He adds, As a program rooted in behavioral science, we have a unique understanding of what works, and what doesnt work for weight management. He adds, We look forward to helping Providence St. Joseph Health make a real difference in the obesity rates in their communities.

Our ministry focus and vision of Health for a Better World motivates us to address the significant challenges of our overweight patients, says Lynda Baxter MPH, MBA, Group Vice President, Digestive Health and Cancer Institutes at Providence St. Joseph Health.
