GrowSafe Systems Limited announced today it has expanded its senior leadership team as part of an ambitious growth plan. Ian Hamilton of Wheatsheaf Group Ltd. has been appointed to the new position of Managing Director of GrowSafe. Ian brings to the Company decades of senior-executive and non-executive experience with a range of international companies such as Aviagen, Cogent Breeding Ltd, Vytelle Inc and Horizon Proteins Ltd. At Aviagen, Ian was part of the founding management team which built the largest poultry breeding businesses in the world, growing the company from a niche player into the clear global leader. He specialises in market and business growth, aligned to developing high-performing teams across the globe.
As part of these changes, Alison Sunstrum has taken on the role of Non-Executive Chairperson, enabling her to focus on strategic vision and explore new opportunities to implement GrowSafes revolutionary agriculture decision support systems.
GrowSafe also announced that A. James Shafter has joined its Board of Directors. Most recently, Jim served as General Counsel of COFCO International Ltd., a multi-flag global agribusiness based in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to that, he was general counsel and managing director at Noble Agri, an agricultural trading and processing company, of counsel at the law firm of Bryan Cave, and Vice-President, Mergers & Acquisitions at Archer Daniels Midland.
