MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Sept. 28, 2018 — goeasy Ltd. (“goeasy” or the “Company”), a leading full service provider of goods and alternative financial services that provides everyday Canadians with a chance for a better tomorrow, has announced today that, due to strong demand, the Company has increased the size of the previously announced bought deal offering to 800,000 common shares (the “Common Shares”), at a price of $50.50 per Common Share, for gross proceeds of $40,400,000 (the “Offering”). The Offering is led by BMO Capital Markets, Raymond James Ltd., and Cormark Securities Ltd. The Company has granted the Underwriters an option, exercisable at the offering price for a period of 30 days following the closing of the Offering, to purchase up to an additional 15% of the Offering to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is expected to close on or about October 10, 2018 and is subject to goeasy receiving all necessary regulatory approvals.
Net proceeds of the Offering will be used to support the growth of the easyfinancial consumer loan portfolio.
The Common Shares will be offered in all of the provinces of Canada, excluding Quebec, pursuant to the Company’s base shelf prospectus dated May 19, 2017 and may also be offered by way of private placement in the United States.
