Compensation Advisory Partners Acquires Vivient Consulting

Compensation Advisory Partners (CAP), a premier independent executive compensation consulting firm, today announced the acquisition of Vivient Consulting, a Los Angeles-based executive compensation consultancy with offices in Los Angeles and Chicago. The Vivient acquisition provides CAP with a national footprint, expanding its reach in the Midwest and on the West Coast to accelerate the firms growth.

The CAP and Vivient teams share a collaborative and client-focused culture of personalized and responsive professional services grounded in analytics and are proud of our long-standing client relationships, said Eric Hosken, Partner, CAP. The combination of our compensation consulting firms will enhance our ability to service clients across the country.

Vivient was founded in 2002 by Bertha Masuda, Susan Schroeder, and Bonnie Schindler, who will all join the CAP team. Ms. Masuda and Ms. Schroeder will continue as Partners, actively serving the firms clients, while Ms. Schindler will join CAP as a Principal with responsibility for expanding CAPs intellectual capital and knowledge leadership.

“Weve known Bertha, Susan, Bonnie, and the rest of the Vivient team for years and we share the same values and approach, said Dan Laddin, Founding Partner, CAP. It became clear that joining forces would benefit both firms and our clients. We look forward to harnessing the full resources of our combined teams to continue our growth.

The Vivient team brings decades of experience in executive compensation strategy, planning, and incentive plan design for public and private companies of all sizes to CAP. Vivients leading expertise in developing compensation plans for private companies and non-profit organizations complements CAPs expertise serving the Compensation Committees of large and mid-cap public company boards and private companies preparing to enter the public markets.

As our client base expanded over the past two decades, we knew we needed to source additional and specialized talent and technology solutions in order to continue to expand our high-quality and personalized compensation consulting and advisory services, said Ms. Masuda. CAP is the ideal partner for us, and our partnership maximizes our collective ability to anticipate and address the compensation needs of all of our clients, from private to public as well as nonprofits.

The Vivient acquisition follows CAPs April 2018 addition of Partner Chris Earnest who established the firms Southwest operations based in Houston.
