Brightpearl WMS grants fast-growing merchants full visibility across entire retail operations, including returns, as well as drastically improving time to ship and bottom line results

Brightpearl, the world’s largest purpose-built retail ERP platform, today announces the launch of a newWarehouse Management System (WMS) to help businesses adapt to a shifting consumer-led retail environment.

While nearly three quarters of consumers demand next day delivery[i], 1 in 5 retailers still struggle to meet this final delivery step. In addition, almost half of retailers are seeing their bottom line severely squeezed as a result of returns[ii].

Recognizing these changes in the retail landscape, Brightpearl has designed a new WMS for today’s real-time commerce needs. With universal access via tablet, mobile device, PC and Mac, Brightpearl WMS helps businesses turbo-charge order shipping 20% faster on average.

Brightpearl WMS also increases control over an increasingly expensive returns process by enabling merchants to centrally manage returns across all channels from a single interface. This greatly reduces the amount of time required to lookup the status of a return, and allows for rapid detection of fraud and problematic serial returners. Furthermore, a defined return framework allows returns to be processed much more quickly.

Brightpearl WMS is built to complement its core feature set by adding a scalable, barcode-driven solution to the warehouse team. This approach improves inventory accuracy and helps to eliminate human errors – and all without the typical purchase and deployment costs and lack of integrations associated with other third-party tools.

“In today’s consumer-led retail environment, a single view of orders, real-time accounting, inventory and returns is essential to business success,” said Derek O’Carroll, CEO, Brightpearl. “Our WMS is integrated with the Brightpearl retail ERP solution, so we can offer an end-to-end solution that is rapidly deployed and quickly provides visibility across the entire scope of retail operations. This allows for faster and more informed business decisions, optimized margins, and provision of greater customer service.”

“The addition of Brightpearl WMS, which perfectly complements and extends the warehousing capabilities of the Brightpearl platform, demonstrates why they are one of our preferred ERP partners” says Russell Klein, senior vice president of corporate development at BigCommerce. “The WMS is an innovative system that will vastly improve inventory accuracy and empower merchants to offer a truly customer-centric omnichannel experience.”

“Before Brightpearl WMS, we relied on manual effort and individual initiative to run our warehouse, alongside reams of paper”, says Clifton Vaughan, Director of Natural Baby Shower, a seller of  organic  baby products and a new user of Brightpearl’s warehouse management software. “Brightpearl WMS has eliminated the majority, if not all of our manual handling mistakes. We’re now able to process orders twice as fast and with more accuracy, vastly improving our service to customers. This is reflected in the overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received in the short time we’ve been using the software.”

Melissa Mactaggart, Operations Director at Fairfax & Favor, a producer of British Luxury Footwear, says: “Previously, all our warehouse operations were performed manually, which was an incredibly time-consuming effort. Brightpearl’s WMS is a saving grace because it allows us to keep a real-time record of our inventory movement at anytime, eliminating costly mispicks. Barcode scanning when fulfilling orders also means customers receive the right product, much faster, and this change has had a really positive impact on our return rates.”

Brightpearl WMS integrates with established ecommerce platforms and is available now for retailers and wholesalers that understand the value of end-to-end insight into their operations and one holistic solution to manage the flow of orders, information and returns across the entire enterprise.  For more information on Brightpearl WMS, including pricing and to book a demo.
