YapıKredi also becomes the first bank worldwide to provide Eyeprint ID authentication for ATM withdrawals
YapıKredi, the first national private bank of Turkey co-owned by Koç Holding, one of the biggest conglomerates of Turkey, and UniCredit, the largest banking group of Europe, is the first bank in Europe to use Eyeprint ID for mobile login, and the first bank across the globe to offer Eyeprint ID for mobile banking login and cardless cash withdrawals.
This milestone was achieved in partnership with Ölçsan and EyeVerify, the creator of Eyeprint ID. In 2015, Ölçsan signed an exclusive agreement to resell and distribute Eyeprint ID in Turkey, with non-exclusive distribution rights throughout Europe. Ölçsan has enabled YapıKredi to integrate Eyeprint ID, an eye-based mobile biometric software, into its mobile app. Now, with just a quick look, YapıKredi customers can access banking information and make transactions swiftly.
YakupDogan, Assistant General Manager, YapıKredi states: “With our latest mobile app update, we continue to push the boundaries of convenient mobile banking for our customers. Allowing our customers to access all banking transactions in the app with simple Eyeprint ID verification addresses two major shortcomings for mobile banking customers today: security and recalling passwords. From now on, our customers will be able to login to mobile banking via their smartphones using the Eyeprint capture technology, for a single-step, faster, easier and more secure access. In addition to the innovative Eyeprint ID feature, renewed YapıKredi Mobile also stands out with swift contactless money withdrawal from ATMs via QR code and direct access to the Call Center.”

To access Eyeprint ID, users simply need to update their YapıKredi Mobile app.
