Workers went on strike over unresolved disputes about improved wages and working conditions after nearly a year of negotiations.
According to the AWU, union members stopped work for four hours before resuming operations.
The union is seeking a better wage offer that keeps up with the rising cost of living for workers.
Glencore employs about 17,000 people across 20 active operations in Australia.
The union stated no further action is planned for now, but strikes may continue if Glencore does not improve its offer.
