With UK online retail sales set to reach £52.25bn in 2015, getting payments right is essential to multichannel retail strategies. The Internet Retailing Expo (IRX) which, new for 2015, is co-located with the eDelivery Expo (EDX), is set to open the lid on this growing trend. Retailers from across the globe are set to come together to learn about the latest innovations and best practice in multichannel retail from the leaders of the sector between 25th– 26th March at the NEC Birmingham.

Following the launch of Apple Pay as a key factor for 2015 and a leading influence for the payments industry, the Digital Payments Village, one of the highlights of the show, will focus on payments and putting the ‘commerce’ into ‘ecommerce’.

With chargebacks, fines, cyber security and PCI compliance all real life issues for a merchant of any size, the Digital Payments Village will also showcase variety, capabilities and sales-effectiveness of the rapidly-developing payments scene. Whether big or small, any merchant that takes payment of any kind has a myriad of payment related pains to push through in order to survive and this central part of the show will highlight this issue.

Mark Pigou, Founder of Internet Retailingsaid, “The payments village will draw out the variety and commercial relevance of a broad path of new and enhanced areas, showing how even the most mature elements the multichannel landscape can offer new opportunities to grow  business’ scale and profitability.”

Speakers include Don Bush, VP Marketing, Kount Inc. who will be speaking on ‘Fraud in the Mobile Channel and How to Avoid It’ as well as an opening keynote from Lysa Hardy, Chief Marketing Officer, NBTY Europe, who will be sharing her expertise on ‘Turning Mobile into Money – key challenges and best practices’.

The IRX and EDX and the eDelivery Expo is sponsored by Digital River, who provides global ecommerce, payments and marketing services and is also the leading global provider of Commerce-as-a-Service solutions.
