What are Swift/Bic Codes?

Swift/Bic codes are unique codes assigned for banks to validate any transactions and contain 11 digits of which first four letters show the bank code, followed by other two digits which stand for country code, next two shows the location of bank, last 3 digits implies branch related to a financial institution.
