Volvo Cars has decided to end its partnership with Luminar Technologies, a US-based supplier of lidar sensors for self-driving vehicles.
STOCKHOLM (Reuters) -Sweden's Volvo Cars said on Monday it would discontinue its relationship with Luminar Technologies, a maker of so-called lidar sensors for self-driving cars.

Lidar technology uses laser light to measure distances and create detailed 3D maps. It is commonly used in self-driving cars for navigation and obstacle detection.
