April 7 (Reuters) - British telecom firm Gamma Communications said on Tuesday that it is in preliminary discussions with a number of interested counterparties for a potential sale.
"Discussions with the Potential Offerors are at an early stage," the company said in a statement adding that an "offer period" has now commenced.
Gamma did not disclose details on the potential offerors.
The telecommunications services firm completed a restructuring program aimed at boosting profitability in the second half of 2025. In March, Gamma said the measures would help reduce annual operating expenses by 7 million pounds ($9.28 million) from 2026.
Bloomberg News first reported the sale talks, citing people familiar with the matter.
Shares of the London-listed company have fallen about 21% so far this year, leaving the company with a market value of 660.9 million pounds.
