Spain commits €817 million to aid Ukraine, including €100 million for U.S. military gear, to bolster defense against Russia.
MADRID (Reuters) -Spain will mobilise a new package of aid for Ukraine worth 817 million euros ($946 million) and purchase U.S. military equipment worth 100 million euros under NATO's Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said on Tuesday.
He spoke at a news conference alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, in Madrid as part of his European tour aiming to bolster Kyiv's air defences against Russia's invasion.
