LONDON, March 31 (Reuters) - Britain's doctors' union will ballot senior doctors in England for industrial action after talks with the government failed to make progress and last week's pay award was deemed insufficient, the British Medical Association said on Tuesday.
The BMA said parallel ballots of hospital consultants and specialist, associate specialist and specialty doctors would run from May 11 to July 6.
If approved, the move could leave the government facing the risk of industrial action by all doctors working in secondary care in England at the same time.

Senior doctors are being balloted for strike action due to failed government talks and dissatisfaction with the recent pay award.
The ballot for strike action is being organized by the British Medical Association (BMA).
Hospital consultants, specialist, associate specialist, and specialty doctors are included in the parallel ballots.
The ballots will run from May 11 to July 6.
If approved, the government may face industrial action by all doctors in secondary care in England simultaneously.
