New Channel Head to Accelerate Sales Through Value-Add and Cloud-First Partner Network
Talend (NASDAQ: TLND), a global leader in cloud data integration solutions, today announced Alan McFarlane has been hired as Partner Manager, UK&I.
In his role, McFarlane will focus on accelerating the adoption of Talend’s comprehensive cloud solutions portfolio by building out its channel of cloud-first VARs, system integrators, and distributors in the UK.
Because Talend is committed to addressing organisations’ cloud and big data needs and challenges, increasing support and engagement through the channel is a strategic business priority. As a market cited for significant growth, Talend expects to see rapid growth in demand for its unique end-to-end big data and cloud integration solutions through the scale and reach that a value-based network of cloud-first channel partners will provide.
McFarlane joins Talend from Insight software where he held the position of Business Development Manager, UK&I. His previous experience includes roles at Deloitte, Oracle, Unisys and Information Resources Inc. (IRI Software), giving him a full breadth of expertise across the UK cloud, analytics, and big data industry from both a direct and partner sales perspective.
Throughout his career, McFarlane has streamlined sales and business development operations by enabling partners to support direct sales teams through franchise-led account management and has created compelling value-propositions for partners.
“Alan will be a key driving force behind extending Talend’s presence across the UK channel,” said Patrick Booth, VP UK&I, Talend. “As someone who has had experience of both direct and channel sales, Alan will help us optimise the balance of our UK sales operation. This strategic appointment will help us achieve the growth we are targeting in this market and support the success of our partners and customers.”
“The proposition which Talend can offer partners is completely different to all of the other established players within the big data and cloud industry,” added Alan McFarlane, Partner Manager UK&I, Talend. “Talend’s unique solutions portfolio can deliver huge value to customers by enabling continuous innovation in the cloud and compatibility with all of the relevant Open Source platforms.”
Talend’s Global Partner Program is designed to help VARs, systems integrators and distributors add value to customers looking to solve the complex challenges of cloud and big data integration using Talend’s technology and expert support.
