ASSA ABLOY Scandinavia – with its trusted home security brands ASSA, Ruko, TrioVing and Yale – has entered a strategic partnership with Safe4 Security Group AS to provide enhanced smart security solutions for private residences. Working together, the two companies now offer domestic consumers a variety of smart solutions, including keyless entry to their homes.

The Safe4 gateway, the HomeGate, is equipped with advanced IoT technology to ensure a safe, smart and user-friendly solution. It communicates with ASSA ABLOY Scandinavia’s Yale Doorman digital door lock to give consumers full control over access to their homes via a single, integrated smartphone app. Safe4’s secure smart home solutions have attracted considerable international interest, which is likely to intensify with this new partnership.

-ASSA ABLOY is a leading global player with a global footprint and expertise in smart door locks. With its Scandinavian experts on our team, we can develop our solutions even further, as our HomeGate now ‘talks to’ the Yale Doorman smart door lock, says Safe4 CEO, Bjørge Kraft.

-A smart home starts with a smart door. That’s why we believe a smart digital door lock like our Yale Doorman should be a basic element in every integrated IoT home solution, adds Kristoffer Wadman, Director Business Development at ASSA ABLOY Scandinavia.

    Simplifying everyday life
The integrated smart functionality both companies now offer enables a home or cabin owner to automate a range of domestic functions. For instance, opening or closing a Yale Doorman can now trigger a signal to also make the water-lock shut or open. Similarly, electrical appliances can automatically turn on or off; lights can be dimmed and the home’s temperature regulated, if the homeowner has pre-programmed this using Safe4’s user-friendly interface.

Full control with a single app
the HomeGate also serves as the home’s security system and fire alarm, and can be activated and deactivated via the Yale Doorman digital lock. Using the integrated onestiAPP, a homeowner can easily control most of the home’s IoT devices, whether they are inside or away from the property. -We believe the combination of the HomeGate and Yale Doorman also opens a door to new opportunities for creating genuinely 21st-century care solutions for those at home, adds Kraft.
