A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the southeast coast of Kamchatka, Russia, at a depth of 24 km, according to the USGS. Initial reports by GFZ estimated a 6.4 magnitude.
(Reuters) -An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck the south-east coast of Russia's Kamchatka region on Monday, the United States Geological Survey said.
The quake was at a depth of 24 km (14.91 miles), USGS said.
GFZ had earlier pegged the earthquake at 6.4 magnitude.
