    • Customer-focussed, 7 day-a-week bank to open in Swindon
    • New store will create 25 jobs for local community

Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, is set to open a new store in Swindon later this year. Offering personal, business and private banking services, the bank prides itself on providing customers with an amazing banking experience and is renowned for its superior levels of service and convenience.

Swindon residents will benefit from the new store being open seven days a week, early until late, 362 days a year. Unlike any other bank, Metro Bank provides instant account opening, along with on-the-spot card printing, meaning customers can walk in without an appointment and walk out with a fully-functioning account. What’s more, the store will also have over 2000 safe deposit boxes for customers to store their valuables and free coin counting facilities for customers and non-customers alike.

Iain Kirkpatrick, Managing Director of Retail Banking at Metro Bank commented: “We’re really excited to be opening in Swindon, not only has it been identified as one of the UK’s ‘fast-growth towns’, but has a great buzz to it. We can’t wait to welcome local residents and businesses to the Banking Revolution and give them to choice to bank when they want, where they want and how they want. All of this coupled with great customer service, helpful colleagues and technology that makes peoples’ banking experience simpler.”

Not only does the bank invest in its store presence, but it also offers customers the ability to bank online, via its mobile app and through its contact centres, which are manned by people rather than machines.

Kirkpatrick continued: “We’re proud to invest in the local community and the new store will not just create around 25 new careers for local people, but will act as a hub for residents and businesses and we look forward to hosting an array of networking and community events. Swindon is a dynamic town that we’re excited to be a part of and we’ll be celebrating our move with two days of grand opening festivities, later this year.”

Anyone looking to apply for a role at Metro Bank’s Swindon store can find further information at: https://www.metrobankonline.co.uk/about-us/careers/.
