How Influencer Marketing Can Benefit Your Business
What is Influencer Marketing? It is the new trend of promoting businesses online through social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube that is taking off like wildfire. With over 350 million users in Facebook alone, there is no doubt that this could be a huge growth area for companies. Social marketing has become an increasingly important tool for brands to grow their consumer base. Many large companies now heavily rely on social networks such as Twitter to promote special offers, solicit new business and let customers network with each other.
The growing popularity of Facebook and other social networks means that companies are looking for ways to get their brand message out there without having to spend a great deal of money on traditional advertising campaigns. This is where influencer marketing comes in. Influencers are individuals or companies that have an interest or a passion about a particular brand, product or service. They can be owners, creators, actors or athletes – anyone who has an opinion about something that you could use as a potential customer or subscriber.
These influencers often work with an agency to create content and then submit it to the various social networks for viral promotion. The content they create and upload will be authentic and may even include links to affiliate products. However, it is not uncommon for influencers to sign up with fake followers in order to pump up their popularity and get more followers. In order to avoid becoming a victim of an influencer scam, it is vital that you take action straight away if you find that you are following fake followers.
It is best to avoid all social influence strategies including joining so many groups and tagging your posts, so that no one can steal your thunder. When using a popular account such as Twitter, don’t go crazy promoting your business. You will need to do this naturally by posting useful, interesting and insightful information and then gain more followers. By doing this, you will build up a strong base of followers that you can later use in your own influencer marketing campaign.
The other popular method used by influencers is to purchase followers. This will look more genuine if the influencer is not a celebrity and has thousands of followers. The purchase can be for a single follower or thousands. The reason for this strategy is that it makes the influencer appear to be important when he or she purchases hundreds or thousands of followers that are being purchased on autopilot. Unfortunately, purchasing followers comes with a high price tag and is often seen as a spamming technique by most social media networks.
YouTube is also becoming an increasingly popular tool for internet influencer marketing. The amount of people who are searching for YouTube on a daily basis is constantly growing. Therefore, the chance of a large number of people watching your video is likely to be high. YouTube users tend to look for creative content, so this is a great place to showcase your social influence marketing ideas.
Most social media influencers will not engage in direct sales, but may instead provide helpful information or content to their audience. This can be done through blog posts, podcasts and videos. When providing content, it is best to keep in mind that many users will share the content across different platforms. As such, content that is beneficial to one platform may not work on another. In order to draw in more followers and drive up sales, consider purchasing advertising space for your content. This is considered to be indirect influencer marketing, because it uses the medium you are using to promote your content to draw in more customers, while still allowing you to benefit from the content.
The key to successful influencer marketing is to think about how you can bring in more followers while using traditional forms of advertising such as articles and blogging. Additionally, take the time to learn more about FTC rules on the use of offline advertising. If you have already created content that can be found on multiple platforms, such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, you should consider including those platforms in your efforts as well.
