Bird flu, or avian influenza, is a viral infection that primarily affects birds but can infect humans and other animals. It can cause severe respiratory illness and is highly contagious among birds.
The agriculture ministry is responsible for formulating and implementing policies related to agriculture, food production, and rural development. It aims to ensure food security and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
High-risk areas for bird flu are regions where there is a higher likelihood of outbreaks due to factors like dense poultry populations, migratory bird routes, and previous occurrences of the virus.
