Graphic Art and Design Jobs

A discipline of art, graphic art encompasses a wide spectrum of visual artistic expression, normally two-dimensional, often representing objects on a flat surface, such as a canvas. Although the forms of artwork may vary, they usually share a common theme, which is represented by the use of repetition. Common elements used in graphic art include: line, color, form, texture, and lighting. All of these elements can be combined to create new works of art. Some examples of graphical artwork include: graffiti, collages, illustrations, computer generated images, and photographic illustrations.

One of the most common forms of graphic art is the creation of still life. Still life is typically a photograph or still frame-like image of a subject that has been painted in vibrant color. Many still life paintings follow a repetitive theme, adding depth and detailing to the piece. Other designers create compositions that are more dynamic, using shapes and colors in unique patterns. Still life images can include natural scenes such as flowers and landscapes, or they can be representations of abstract subjects. Some of the most well-known still life images include those created by Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh, oil painting of the Eiffel tower, and still-life paintings done by Dutch artist Rembrandt.

Illustrations are pieces of artwork that are drawn to scale, are created via brush or pen, and are created for both book and non-book formats. While they do not require the same degree of design skill as paintings and stills, graphic artists who specialize in illustrations can create astonishing results. Examples of famous illustrated works include The Book ofine, Oil Painting in the Gothic Style, The Starry Night, Watercolor Paintings, and The Loomis House. Most graphic artists begin their careers working as a writer or artist, but due to the nature of illustrations, many freelance graphic artists eventually pursue a career in illustration.

Copywriting is a process of selling or promoting a product. One example of this would be an ad that is designed to promote a new line of clothing. Another example of copywriting would be a sales letter for a business. Many successful copywriters can envision the finished product, often having a vision of what the advertisement would look like or how it would appear on the screen.

Graphic design and illustration are very different from traditional art forms, but many of the most famous artists in the world have at least some experience with both. Famous examples of graphic art and illustration include Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Milton Glaser, Peter Beard, Bob Seuss, and Adobe Photoshop. As you can see, these artists are used in much different ways and in a wide variety of media, but they all produce work that is considered to be graphic art and illustration.

What makes graphic design and illustration different? First, the visual elements that are created are much more vibrant and dynamic. For example, a photograph that shows a mountain landscape with trees and other natural elements will be much more appealing and interesting to a person than a still photograph of the same scene. These visual elements are dynamic, because they are real objects. A still photograph can be manipulated by the photographer, but the impact and beauty of the final image are impossible to manipulate. This is why graphic designers create their work using photos, paintings, illustrations, or any other form of visual media.

Second, graphic artists are not limited to just creating images and illustrations. Some graphic designers make a living manipulating digital art such as video games, images, and software programs. Illustrators use their fine arts to create illustrations for books, magazines, business documents, and website design. The versatility of a graphic designer is often the key to their success, since anyone can make a pencil or a brush sketch.

Finally, there are graphic designers and art directors involved in the creation of apps. Apps are becoming very popular and are available for purchase on both iOS and Android. They help provide users with a new way to do things. Most graphic artists and art directors are involved with developing these apps. The role of a graphic artist or art director is to take an idea and turn it into an engaging and unique application that people will enjoy using.
