Eramet has temporarily suspended its CFO, Abel Martins-Alexandre, for an independent investigation, unrelated to CEO Paulo Castellari's recent departure.
PARIS, Feb 9 (Reuters) - French miner Eramet said on Monday it had put in place a temporary management structure to oversee its finance department, after temporary suspension its finance chief, which was not related to the recent departure of its CEO.
The group said in a statement that Finance Chief Abel Martins-Alexandre has been temporarily suspended from his duties "to allow for the proper conduct of the independent investigation, which has been initiated following a warning from several employees of the finance department concerning the management of the department."
The CFO situation is unrelated to the recent departure of Paulo Castellari as Chief Executive, it added.
Catellari was dismissed for divergences on operating methods with his board of directors, as indicated in a press release dated February 1, the statement added.
The publication of Eramet's annual results remains scheduled on February 18.
