Ukraine’s ambassador says the first Ukrainian drone plant has started operating in Britain. He calls it a strategic expansion to protect output under missile threat, not a shift away from Ukraine.
KYIV, Feb 25 (Reuters) - The first Ukrainian drone production plant has started its operations in Britain, Ukraine's ambassador Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said on Wednesday.
"Ukraine is fighting a war amid constant missile strikes, infrastructure destruction and threats to production facilities. Therefore, the launch of production in the UK has a deep strategic logic," Zaluzhnyi said on the Telegram app.
"This is not a shift of the centre of gravity away from Ukraine. It is an expansion of our joint capabilities and the creation of a second line of defence that guarantees continuity of production."

Ukraine’s ambassador announced that the first Ukrainian drone production plant has begun operating in Britain. The move expands capacity and protects output amid wartime disruptions.
Kyiv says constant missile strikes and infrastructure risks threaten factories at home. Producing in Britain creates a secure second line to maintain steady wartime supply.
No. Officials describe the UK facility as an expansion of joint capabilities, not a relocation. It’s intended to ensure continuity while Ukrainian plants continue operating.
