He has been affiliated with the Institute of Certified Accountants of both Kenya and Uganda and has achieved the DipIFRS qualification, making him a specialist in International Reporting Standards.
David founded Kiguru & Associates in 2002, an auditing and financial consulting practice and functions as lead consultant and partner. He is responsible for all audit and assurance services performed at the firm and ensures the firm operates within accounting standards applicable in Kenya as well as Internationally. He specializes in business advisory and has assisted many organisations in re-positioning and re-defining their financial matters. David performed vital audit and financial management functions at Wachira Irungu & Associates, Kimani & Associates as well as Dunlop (K) Ltd to name but a few and has participated in various audits performed by Deloitte and Touche, Kenya.
