ZURICH (Reuters) – The Swiss government has appointed Cornelia Stamm Hurter as a new member of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) Bank Council, the SNB said on Wednesday, following an earlier government announcement.
Stamm Hurter, cantonal councillor and head of the finance department of the canton of Schaffhausen, will join the SNB bank council on May 1, 2022. She will succeed Ernst Stocker, who will stand down at the end of April 2022.
“The SNB would like to take this opportunity to thank Ernst Stocker for his hard work on the Bank Council and wish him all the best for the future,” the SNB said in a statement.
