ZURICH (Reuters) – The Swiss government has appointed Cornelia Stamm Hurter as a new member of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) Bank Council, the SNB said on Wednesday, following an earlier government announcement.

Stamm Hurter, cantonal councillor and head of the finance department of the canton of Schaffhausen, will join the SNB bank council on May 1, 2022. She will succeed Ernst Stocker, who will stand down at the end of April 2022.
