China will review its anti-dumping investigation on EU pork imports on October 31, following initial duties imposed last month, escalating trade tensions.
BEIJING (Reuters) -China will hold a hearing regarding its anti-dumping probe into pork imports from the European Union on October 31, the commerce ministry said on Monday.
China last month placed initial anti-dumping duties of up to 62.4% on pork imports worth over $2 billion from the EU, deepening trade tensions with the bloc.

Anti-dumping refers to a trade policy that countries use to protect their domestic industries from foreign companies selling products at below fair market value, which can harm local businesses.
