International payments and foreign exchange firm Caxton has today launched Caxton Red, a new membership account for frequent travellers that offers fee-free spending in the UK and overseas, market leading exchange rates, and reward points that can be redeemed against foreign currencies.

The unique account offers both a (prepaid) currency card and an international payments facility that provides up to £25,000 of foreign exchange or pounds to spend and send anywhere in the world. With zero transaction fees, no FX mark-ups, and reward points that can be earned on expenditure in the UK, Caxton Red is the hassle-free account that lets your travel money go further.

Caxton Red is the only (prepaid) currency card that offers purchase protection and event cancellation insurance for safer spending online and in-store. For added peace of mind, cardholders can also temporarily freeze or block their card if they misplace or lose it by going online or using the mobile app.

At £5 a month or £55 a year upfront, travellers can benefit from a range of money-saving features all in one account including:

    • Exchange up to £25k a year with no commission, mark-up or other charges
    • Shop safely with purchase protection and event cancellation cover
    • Access to multiple travel extras – airport lounges, resort transfers, discounted airport parking, car hire and hotels
    • Earn reward points on UK spend
    • Cashback for referring friends and family
    • Free usage at home or abroad
    • Free overseas ATM withdrawals*
    • Next day overseas payments**
    • Zero transaction fees when spending at home or abroad
    • Split bills and transfer money between friends and families
