Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (Freshfields) has today announced that Peter Lyons, US Managing Partner, and Aimen Mir, Regulatory Partner and head of the practice focused on the US Treasury Departments Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), will be joining a panel discussion on The Tangled Web of Global Approvals during the 31st Tulane Corporate Law Institute. Aimen, who joined Freshfields last month after leading the Treasurys CFIUS group where he played a pivotal role in shaping and/or implementing the last two major overhauls of the CFIUS review process, will bring a unique perspective and expertise in the nuances of foreign investment review.
Peter and Aimen will be joined by panelists who include: Howard Ellin, M&A Partner at Skadden; Richard Hall, Corporate Partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore; Michael Han, Antitrust Partner at Fangda Partners; David Muir, Managing Partner of Hakluyt; and Ambassador Miriam Sapiro, Co-Head of the DC office of Sard Verbinnen.
