The UK government is evaluating two proposals for a third runway at Heathrow, submitted by Heathrow Airport Limited and the Arora Group, to expand airport capacity.
LONDON (Reuters) -Britain's transport minister Heidi Alexander said on Wednesday that the government was reviewing proposals from Heathrow Airport Limited and the Arora Group to build a third runway at London's Heathrow Airport.
Alexander told parliament the government had received seven proposals following its call for submissions earlier this year, with two schemes remaining under "active consideration".
