Bosch warns of potential production disruptions due to a dispute with Nexperia, citing export control issues and possible adjustments at its Salzgitter plant.
BERLIN (Reuters) -German auto parts supplier Bosch cannot rule out disruptions to production if there is no improvement in the stand-off over Dutch chipmaker Nexperia, the company said on Friday.
"We are currently doing everything we can to serve our customers and avoid or minimize production restrictions," a spokesperson for the company said in an emailed statement to Reuters.
"However, unless there is an easing of export control restrictions, temporary production adjustments in individual plants cannot be ruled out at Bosch," she said, adding that the company was preparing for possible furlough measures at its Salzgitter plant.

Production disruption refers to interruptions in the manufacturing process, often caused by supply chain issues, regulatory changes, or external conflicts that affect the ability to produce goods efficiently.
A furlough is a temporary leave of absence from work, often without pay, typically used by companies to reduce costs during periods of low demand or financial difficulty.
