Balmain ends its collaboration with Olivier Rousteing after 10 years, marking a leadership change in the fashion house owned by Mayhoola.
PARIS (Reuters) -French fashion house Balmain on Wednesday announced the end of its collaboration with designer Olivier Rousteing after over a decade, the latest change in an industry-wide designer reshuffle.
Frenchman Rousteing, who was appointed to lead Balmain at age 25 in 2011, was known for spectacular fashion shows with global celebrities like singer Cher.
Balmain is owned by Qatari-backed investment fund Mayhoola which also owns struggling Italian house Valentino.
