Atlas Air Worldwide has placed an order for 20 Airbus A350Fs, with deliveries scheduled from 2029 to 2034. This marks its first-ever European aircraft purchase and makes it the largest customer for the A350 freighter, with options for an additional 20 aircraft.
PARIS, March 16 (Reuters) - Atlas Air Worldwide said on Monday it had ordered 20 Airbus A350 freighters, becoming the largest customer for the new European cargo plane.
Deliveries of the A350F to Atlas Air are expected to begin in 2029 and be completed in 2034, the airline said in a statement.
The deal, earlier reported by Bloomberg, is the company's first European aircraft purchase. It includes options for a further 20 of the same planes.
Airbus last year delayed the first delivery of the A350F by around a year to the second half of 2027 due to production and supply chain problems.
